Dear Braw Wee Pals,
I'm reaching out to you with an exciting but urgent opportunity! The Braw Wee Craft Club & Emporium has been a vibrant part of the community for almost 10 years, offering creative workshops, unique Scottish gifts, and a welcoming space for crafters of all levels. Unfortunately, we recently received unexpected news: we need to leave our beloved city centre studio in just two months now I've known that the space was temporary but was originally told it would be March 2025 allowing me another 5 months to sort out a new space and finances.
While this sudden move is a challenge, it’s also a chance to create something even better—a bigger, brighter, and more accessible space where creativity can truly flourish. But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to make this move possible and to continue offering the workshops, products, and community events you love.
Why We’re Moving
Our current space has been our cosy home for almost 2 years, and we've been lucky having an extremely affordable rent that allowed us to test out being in the City Centre. However, the building has been earmarked for development for years and planning permission was granted last month for the building to be demolished and turned into student accommodation. We have also outgrown our wee room and would really like to grow the business further. I'm currently researching potential new locations that offers everything we’ve been dreaming of: a larger studio for workshops, more room to display our gifts and craft products, and room to host other artists and makers. However, with only two months’ notice, we’re facing financial hurdles to secure this new space, cover moving expenses, and make it feel like home.
What We Need
To make this move possible, we’re aiming to raise £5,000. Here’s how the funds will be used:
Every penny raised will go directly towards creating a beautiful, creative space that the entire community can enjoy.
What’s in It for You?
To show our appreciation, we’ve put together some fantastic rewards exclusively for our supporters:
