Braw Wee Craft Club | Creative Workshops in Glasgow

About Braw Wee Craft Club

Glasgow's friendliest creative studio, where nobody has to be "good at art" to have an absolute belter of a time.

Look, we'll be honest with you. A lot of folk arrive at Braw Wee Craft Club a wee bit nervous. They'll say something like "I'm not creative at all", usually right before they make something that blows their own socks off.

That's kind of the whole point.

We're a creative workshop studio based in Glasgow City Centre, and since growing out of our popular workshop programme at Braw Wee Emporium back in 2017, we've had over 3,000 people through our doors. Complete beginners, seasoned crafters, people who came alone and left with new pals, couples looking for something a bit different on a Friday night — all sorts.

What we get up to

Our workshops change regularly, but you'll find everything from making beautiful Bottle Lamps and cosy giant arm-knitted blankets, to soap making (yes, it gets messy, that's part of the fun). Our Jesmonite workshops have been a firm favourite since 2021, and if you haven't heard of our legendary Bum Pots yet... well, you're in for a treat. All materials are included, all skill levels are welcome, and everyone goes home with their creations!

Why we do this

We genuinely believe that creativity isn't some special gift a lucky few are born with. It's for everyone. And when you put a group of people together with their hands busy and their guards down, something magic happens. Friendships form. Stress melts. People surprise themselves.

We also love working with local businesses, community groups and organisations, because getting creative together works just as well for a team away day as it does for a Tuesday night out with the girls.

The person behind Braw Wee Craft Club

White Women with yellow hair, orange dress arm knitting with Bright Pink wool.

Hi, I'm Jennifer McGlone, founder, tutor and permanent enthusiast for all things colourful. I have a degree in Community Arts and over 20 years of experience running music and creative workshops across the UK. I started Braw Wee Craft Club as a way of bringing people into my shop in the Barras but more importantly because I've seen first-hand what creativity does for people.

The confidence it builds, the connections it sparks, the way it reminds you that making something with your own hands is genuinely joyful.
