I often get asked “Where do you get your candle supplies?” so here’s a quick run-down of all the materials and tools I use regularly in my candle making practice.
Wax & Wicks – The Soap Kitchen
I get my Kerasoy container wax and wicks from The Soap Kitchen it’s a UK-based supplier that’s great for both hobbyists and professional makers. Their wax gives a clean, smooth finish and holds fragrance beautifully. The wicks are dependable and easy to work with, especially for beginners.
Fragrance Oils – Candle Shack & The Soap Kitchen
For my fragrance oils, I like to mix it up depending on the vibe I’m going for!
I source many of my core and seasonal scents from Candle Shack, based in Stirlingshire, they’re known for high-quality, IFRA-compliant oils that are specially designed to perform well in soy wax.
I also pick up additional fragrances from The Soap Kitchen, they have a lovely selection and it’s handy to order alongside my wax and wicks.

I also use candle dyes from Amazon when I fancy adding a bit of colour to my creations.
Just make sure you're buying dyes that are designed specifically for candle making - not soap dyes or general-purpose colourants!
