Pumpkin Candle Workshop – Autumn Soy Candle Making in Glasgow

The last of the pumpkins. Our pumpkin jars have been discontinued by the supplier, and we have 32 Large Pumpkins left in the studio cupboard. That is 32 places across the whole of autumn, and then that is genuinely it. No reorder, no next year.

So join us at Braw Wee Craft Club and hand-pour your own autumn candles: one pumpkin-shaped showpiece, and two classic candle to actually burn on a Tuesday. Total beginner or seasoned maker, you will leave with two candles in your own colours and scents.

What to expect

How long: Around 2 to 2.25 hours.

Do I need to be good at this? No. This class is built for people who have never made a candle in their life. We guide you through every step.

What you actually do: Pick your scents from our autumn range, pumpkin spice, vanilla, apple and more, choose your colours, and hand-pour. There is a lot of sniffing jars and changing your mind while they set. That is part of it.

What you take home: Two hand-poured soy candles. One in a pumpkin jar, one in a classic container, both in your own colours and scents, packaged with custom labels.

What to wear: Nothing precious. Wax is forgiving but it is still wax. Aprons provided.

What the craic is like: Cosy and relaxed. Capped at 12 so it stays social and you get plenty of help. Perfect for a pals' night, a date, or a solo creative reset.

Who it's for: Age 12 and up. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Why there are only 32 places

We bought these pumpkin jars from a supplier who has since stopped stocking them, and we have not been able to find them anywhere else. One pumpkin per person, one autumn, and when the cupboard is empty the workshop retires. If you have been meaning to do this one, this is the year.

Already got a Braw Wee pumpkin? Refill it. £35

Made one with us before? Your pumpkin does not have a shelf life. Bring the empty jar along to any of these sessions and refill it yourself with a fresh scent for the year.

Good to know

• £45 per person, or £35 if you are refilling your own containers
• One pumpkin jar per person. They are strictly limited, so we cannot do extra pumpkins this year.

• Right in the city centre, easy by train, bus or subway. Please note there are six steps up to the lifts. There is a wheelchair lift but we need to know in advance.

Questions we get asked

• I have never made candles before, can I join? Yes. This class is designed for total beginners and we will guide you every step of the way.
• What is included in the price? All materials, your pumpkin jar, a classic container, soy wax, fragrance, dyes, packaging, labels and tutor guidance. You take home two finished candles.
• Can I have two pumpkins? Sorry, no. They are discontinued and we only have 32 left, so it is one each so that as many people as possible get one.
• What happens when my pumpkin burns down? Clean it out and bring it back to a future session. Refill tickets are £35 and you can refill up to two of your own containers. Your jar, your scent, as many autumns as you like.
• Can I make more than two candles? Yes, extra classic candles are £10 each on the night, subject to materials on hand.
• What should I bring? Nothing but yourself, and clothes you do not mind getting a bit waxy. Aprons provided. If you are on a refill ticket, bring your clean empty containers.
• What if I need to cancel or reschedule? We will try to reschedule you first. Refunds are only given if Braw Wee cancels, otherwise we issue store credit.
• Is there an age limit? Ages 12 and up. Under 16s must attend with an adult.
