Bring your tired shoes, boots or bag along to the ATOMICON Fringe and leave with them glittering, gleaming and absolutely pure dead shiny — just in time for the Pre-Party that evening.

This is the workshop that started Braw Wee Craft Club's Pure Dead Shiny series (inspired by Marcie K Design's viral Shiny Shoe Workshop), hosted and taught by Jennifer McGlone, owner of Braw Wee, who has become mildly obsessed with shining up anything she can get her hands on.

Over three hours you'll learn gilding techniques with coloured metal leaf, have a proper laugh, meet other ATOMICON folk before the conference kicks off, and turn something old into wearable art.

What's included

• All foils, adhesive, tools and materials
• Step-by-step tuition from Jennifer
• Three hours in a braw creative space, plus plenty of chat
• An excuse to arrive at the Pre-Party looking absolutely dazzling

What to bring
Your own shoes, boots or bag. They should be leather or faux leather (non-porous materials work best). Unfortunately canvas and suede won't work for this technique. Patent shoes and bags are absolutely fine.

Good to know

• Only 12 spaces — this one will go fast
• No experience needed, total beginners very welcome
• Aprons provided, but you will get covered in coloured foil (that's half the fun)
